Learning the routine, routine, teach, learn the routine. Work on small things ... assume nothing! EVERYHTING should be a lesson. Do not assume they can do things like fetch water, scissors, into the room, then work together to build a community of friends and students in the class. Make sure they feel safe and can trust you and your environment. If they have not overwhelmed by trying to build too much in the first week - "Take It Easy on 'em. By focusing on confidence-building routine and relationships. Without it, you have a lot of teaching anyway! Good luck and congratulations!

I am a teacher first year. At our school there are children and bring them to our celebration of the school children of students. While we bring to the classroom, where you get to know some games.

Then children will go to school. I, the most important places in the school (secretariat shows, office, bathroom, the way of his class, etc..)

Then I give them "Hello, first degree" to color and read the story of a boy on his first day at school (sorry, the book is in English). After a couple of kids talking about their feelings on the first day.

And before we realize the first day is over!

I hope this is helpful.

In any case, good luck and have fun!
